  1. your images are brilliant at conveying the significance of intimacy in the small spaces in our habitats. Some how more profound than if it where a portrait of the entire house.

    • Thank you so much! I like breaking things into fragments and observing them in detail… you do miss out on the whole picture, ironically, when you photograph the whole picture. Thanks so much for the feedback!

    • Actually, it is fairly easy… with some practice. Put your camera in manual focus mode and have at it… with auto-focus, the camera often takes forever to take these types of shots at night… so if in manual, you can focus on your own and make a great picture come to life at night. Thanks for the feedback and for stopping by!

    • Thanks… they do look like they were photographed underwater… that is actually what drew me to photograph this corner! The light fixture on my house has this wavy texture that gives off that underwater feel at night 🙂

  2. Polly – Great photos, A couple of them remind of images you might see in an eerie mystery. Especially the “A Glimmer of a Self-Portrait Night Light” photo – this photo appears would make a person want to yell out “RUN” to avoid the danger 🙂

    Keep at it ……………

    • Thanks man! Haha they do look like eerie mystery film stills… love that! Haha… who knew this corner would be so eerie! I was going for underwater-like but perhaps that is what makes them so eerie! RUN COWBOY RUN! 😉

    • Thank you! I’m glad to know I’m doing what a photography student should be doing… cause I feel like I have no clue what I’m doing sometimes. I’m so grateful for your feedback! 🙂 Hope you’ll come back again!

Let me know what you are thinking :)
