re:loom!!

re:loom

I recently wrote a blog post for re:loom that is now featured on their blog: re:loom. Please check it out! Great product for an even greater cause! These rugs will be available for sale on November 10th! Rugs are made of upcycled materials that have been donated.  I was involved in the vignette photo shoots for their website, where the final images are styled by Alexandra Mia Hernandez and photography by Christina Wedge (click to learn more about them: Alex & Christina). Amazingly talented people. Here are a few more images for you to enjoy while we wait in anticipation for them to hit the market:

  1. I love rag rugs – my house is full of them, and more will be on the loom soon. I spot a lot of worn out jeans in these rugs – such a great way to give new life to old textiles.

  2. Some really nice ‘Product’ pics here Polly well done.

And all for a great cause. I’m assuming they collect old clothes and then what…cut them into strips and weave them on some kinda loom?

    Whatever, they look really cool.

    Good work.

    • You are correcto my friend… they cut them into strips and then weave them on these huge looms. Phenomenal handwoven craft… so nice and refreshing that these are not made by machine. Each rug is unique. Thanks for your feedback, Mark 🙂

  3. Howdy Polly –

I would say these photos are magazine quality and would fit right into an article in a craft magazine.

    Good Job !

  4. A lovely set of pictures, Polly – the colours, the compositions, the lot – very good. Especially like the second one, the ?chair leg going down to the rugs / carpets – very nice stuff! Adrian

  5. Beautiful rugs and beautiful photos 🙂
