Detail Shot of Some “Mug Rug” Christmas Gifts I Purchased. Polly Nance. Digital photograph. 8 x 10 inches, 2011.
re:loom
After taking photographs of re:loom products for months, I finally indulged myself with a few purchases for friends and home. You guys have no idea how hard it is to not buy one of these beautiful rugs when you are surrounded by their beauty daily. I decided upon a hip, blue denim rug with subtle stripes of dark purples and yellows. I love it because it absolutely spices up my kitchen. I have placed it on the floor in front of my kitchen sink. If it ever gets dirty, which it will because I live in a house with kids and animals, I can just throw it in the washing machine. In addition to this rug, I also fell in love with their “mug rugs.” They are basically mini versions of the re:loom rugs that are meant to be placed under coffee mugs or drinks… think coasters. Anyways, I thought they would made excellent gifts for friends and family members. I’ve included some shots of the mug rugs as well as my own, new re:loom purchase. For more information about re:loom and to read about its story, click on the re:loom link above… a great way to give back, while giving at the same time.
Re:loom is in the midst of adding new rugs to their website… so be on the lookout folks! And recently, re:loom has set up and sold merchandise at two gift markets… which both turned out to be a huge success! Thank you all for reading and take care!

Love the shot of the cat walking away. Such a lack of interest, do they not realise there is important art going on here.

These products are beautiful. Love your zoom on the loom look. Hope I didn’t offend a while back when I mentioned we used to call these rag rugs, that’s just what they were called back in the day.
