Instagram Love

I apologize for not posting this past week… I have been sick recently, but am finally on the mends! Phew, I am learning that the older I get the worse a cold virus feels. Sigh. 😉 At least it was a virus that goes away!

 In addition, I have been really busy working at re:loom this past week, photographing new images of rugs for their website (reloom.org). We finally have lights and a mini-studio set up! The photographs are turning out worlds better and I cannot wait till I can share them with you. In the meantime and, since I’m still feeling under the weather, I thought I’d share with you some Instagrams I posted (via my iPhone) over the past few months. If you’ve never used the Instagram App before, you need to check it out. It’s simple and easy and fun. You simply take a photo with your phone, or upload a photo, to share and then choose a fun filter to run your image through. A lot of the filters make the photos feel retro and vintage. You can also add blurs to the background if you wish to do so. After you are satisfied with your image, you have the option of writing a caption. The Instagrams show up in a feed on your phone. It’s addictive at first. But, at least it’s a simple concept. I love seeing how creative people get with their images. My Instagram username is purplenance if you wish to follow me (and if you don’t, I hope you will at least get enjoyment out of these images below)! Sometimes they are humurous. Sometimes they are artsy. And sometimes they are beautiful. I try to be playful as much as I possibly can.  Here are some images I’ve posted fairly recently that I wanted to share…

Holding onto nostalgia… The Nance Family recently purchased an Atari Lynx… Way ahead of its time. I played it in the 2nd or 3rd grade, I believe.

Our favorite neighborhood video rental store closed after Netflix stole most of their costumers. Sadly, I was given a subscription to Netfilx last Christmas, So I am equally to blame for this. It exists as a ruin now.

Gee… Thanks for the fortune. I feel much more confident about my future now…
