The Phoneography Challenge has been renamed! The new name is:
Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge
I must apologize for my lack of participation in the challenges these past weeks. With kids being sick (as well as me) and lots of work going on, I had to take a break. And play some catch-up! But, I’M BACK!!
This week’s theme is Challenger’s choice and I decided to choose objects!
This past weekend, while my husband was out of town, I took my kids to brunch at a local restaurant. Upon leaving, my kids spotted a coin on the ground of the parking lot. And, of course they immediately tried to grab it. Unfortunately for them, it had been glued to the pavement lol!!! The valet told us that everyone always tries to pick it up lol!
It cracked me up because it reminded me of the scene in the film Empire Records, where Warren tries to grab quarters off the ground, only to find out they’ve been glued down. He exclaims, “Who glued these quarters to the ground?!” It you’ve seen the film, you will understand the reference and humor behind my images.
Art is art and there is no need for an explanation!!!
I hope you enjoy these images! I put them in both color and black and white because I couldn’t decide. The color was edited with Instagram and the black and white, with the app Vintique. Let me know which one you prefer and why.

As always, please feel free to leave any and all feedback.
PEACE, LOVE until my next bloggy-blog post, dear fellow blog-readin’ friends 🙂!
So delighted that you are back and better. The monochrome really pulls me into to its shades and textures. The vintage touch works so well. Hope that you like the title change. Happy photo challenge.
Thank you!! I love the title change! Can’t wait to see the additional entries to come! Thanks for your hard work and dedication to this fun challenge!
I’m delighted that you like the title change. See you soon.

Thank you!! Haha! I bet it’s hilarious watching folks try to pick that coin up all day. Wish I could sit there and document those moments lol. Thanks so much for your comment! 🙂
Nice treatment of the object – I love the color version. It looks like an old coin on a leather saddle. You could make up an entire old western style story for the coin with that image. Well done.
Thank you! Ha it does have a western feel!
